New 3DXtreme Review!

Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme.net - Arctic-Cooling NV5 Silencer.
Here's a clip:
"Today 3DXtreme has the great pleasure of reviewing a video cooling solution by Arctic-Cooling for the nVidia 6800 series GPU, the NV5 Silencer. With current GPU transistor counts exceeding that of even the latest CPU’s on the market it’s not surprising that the latest video cards would require a cooling solution to rival a CPU cooler. Also, factor in the added heat from the DDR3 memory on the video card and this becomes even more apparent. Let’s find out if this cooler can outperform the less bulky, stock cooler from an EVGA 6800GT."

Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme - SuperTalent PC3500 CL2 DDR433 Memory.
Here's a clip:
"Today 3DXtreme has the great pleasure of reviewing SuperTalent’s newest Memory product being introduced at the budget level. It is common when shopping for PC Memory to see brand names like Corsair, Kingston, OCZ and while you are getting a high quality product the price for such offerings can be too much for many folks on a budget, especially for CAS 2 Memory in the PC3500 (DDR433) variety. SuperTalent slides in here with a solution for those who want the speed but won’t break the bank. Let’s have a look at this Memory and see how well it performs."

Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme - Albatron K8X800 Pro II Version 2.0 Motherboard.
Here's a clip:
"The Albatron K8X800 Pro II v2 has working multiplier settings, 1.9 max vcore, 2.9 max DIMM voltage but still lacks working AGP and PCI dividers. The Albatron K8X800 Pro II v2 motherboard is a solid piece of hardware. Bundling so many features it’s almost mind numbing. 8 channel onboard sound, Gigabit Lan, IEE1394 round out the features found on higher priced motherboards."

Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme.net - OCZ PowerStream 470W Power Supply Unit.
Here's a clip:
"Without a doubt the OCZ PowerStream owned the competition. The Antec 550 True Control was tweaked to its maximum allowable adjustable settings and the OCZ PowerStream was tested at its default settings – we never adjusted the Fine Tune adjustments – we never had to! Even though the Antec was rated for 550 Watts, the OCZ PowerStream provided much better power levels even when under immense load."

New 3DXtreme Review!

On: Monday, September 20, 2004
Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme - Pioneer DVR-108 16x Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive Review.
Here's a clip:
"The DVR-108 is capable of writing at speeds up to 16x maximum on DVD-R and +R discs that are designed for this recording speed, as well as specified 8x media. With 16x media not yet available, Pioneer’s DVR-108 is allowing customers to write on currently available 8x media at faster speeds by capitalizing on Pioneer’s over specification technology, a writing strategy designed to allow the DVR-108 to record at higher speeds with certain media. The double-layer technology extends data storage capacity on DVD recordable discs from 4.7 gigabytes to 8.5 gigabytes. The new drive is also dual format, which support DVD-R and DVD-RW disc formats as well as the +R and +RW formats to eliminate consumer confusion."

New 3DXtreme Review!
Posted By: Dean Nottis
On: Friday, September 10, 2004
Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme - OCZ Technology 1024-PC3200 2-2-2 Platinum Revision 2 Memory Kit.
Here's a clip:
"The OCZ PC3200 Revision 2 memory delivered slightly faster speeds than the Corsair XMS 3200XL at DDR400 (2-2-2-5) and costs significantly less (around $280 vs. $315). This difference in cost may be the single most determining factor for someone that is shopping for DDR400. Keep in mind that with slightly looser timings operation up to DDR500 should be easily possible making this memory the perfect compliment to any system from an AMD64 based rig to an overclocked Intel P4 based rig. We award the OCZ PC3200 Revision 2 Memory the 3DXtreme Editor’s Choice Award based on the performance and price of this product."

New 3DXtreme Review!
Posted By: Dean Nottis
On: Friday, September 3, 2004
Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme of the Liteon SOHW-832S 8x8 Dual Layer DVD+/-RW Drive.
Here's a clip:
"The Liteon 832S is an 8x DVD burner with 2.4x Dual Layer Burning capabilities. We at 3DXtreme have always been big fans of the products released by Liteon, let’s see if the 832S maintains the Liteon tradition and delivers another respectable product."
