New 3DXtreme Review!

Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme.net - ABIT AV8 (K8T800 Pro socket 939) Motherboard Review.

Here's a clip:

"The ABIT AV8 performed very well, battling with the Soltek K8T800 Pro board for much of this review. The stock performance of the K8T800 Pro chipset seems to be consistent across the motherboards we used thus showing no clear winner. The AV8 has features galore and can be found online for only $111. Overclocking was the key here as this board has working AGP/PCI locks allowing us to briefly hit a 270 MHz FSB and I was actually able to game at 265 FSB x 9."

We've posted a new review on 3DXtreme.net - Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless Mouse.

"During the course of the review we gamed, we photo retouched, we did everything possible to try and find fault with this unit. In the end we found that the MX1000 is now the best mouse I've ever used. The MX1000 is very response, accurate and is ultra smooth. Logitech took the MX700 - improved upon it's strengths and addressed its flaws creating what could arguably considered the best mouse in the world."

Down Time Sux

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the recent down time, according to our host admin, ThePlanet.com had a hard time configuring the new server. First they didn't partition the HD correctly, then they installed the wrong OS and lastly they had issues with the CPanel license. In any case through his persistance everything was corrected late last night and we are back on our way. In the process we lost a review which I had to rebuild and the contest will have to be pushed back a few days. In any case, it's good to be back online. Enjoy the new reviews and enter the contest, will change the duration and update it on the contest post. The poll is still not working at this point, (can't vote) I'm waiting on Minhaz to get that fixed...

"Soltek has once again provided a superior budget solution for the Athlon64 platform with this motherboard. The implementation of working AGP/PCI locks is a major key to the success of this board and why it should be considered by the overclockers. Early BIOS or board revisions have shown maximum VCore for this board to be 1.55V. Our sample had VCore up to 1.7V which is another essential for overclocking. CPU multiplier adjustment options are also a plus to bump up the bus speed of the motherboard while keeping the CPU at a manageable/stable core speed. All these things make this a great board both for the overclocker and the budget minded consumer looking to make a break into the Athlon64 platform."
