We've just posted a new review!

"Today 3DXtreme is proud to present this review of the Corsair TwinX1024-XMS4000 Pro 1 GB Dual kit. This new kit from Corsair is a 1 GigaByte matched memory pair designed for Intel Pentium 4 motherboards like the Dual Memory Channel, Intel Canterwood Chipset (875P). In order to take full advantage of this product a CPU that can run at a 250 Mhz Front Side Bus is required. This memory kit will allow the user to run their memory synchronous to an overclocked CPU targeted for a 250 Mhz Front Side Bus and the advantage to this will be laid out in the following pages..."

"Today 3DXtreme has the great pleasure of reviewing 2 new case fans from Aerocool. The X-Flow Storm Juggler adjustable 80MM fan and also an Aluminum quad blue LED 80MM fan. There is not usually much to be said about a case fan other than the amount of air it is able to push and how it looks lit up in the case of LED fans. Aerocool has many fan solutions to choose from, from a basic case fan to the more noticeable light up fans. For the case modders out there the LED fan can add light to a system instead of using a cold cathode or other alternatives."

After a short break we are back with a new look, new name and a new review. We are now 3DXtreme located at www.3dxtreme.net (no more .org) and thanks to Minhaz we've updated our site layout to something a bit more professional and stylish!

"There is also something to be mentioned about the noise levels that each produced. While the Thermaltake was producing about 45dB, the Evercool was producing just under 30dB. This alone is something to consider, especially if you’re concerned with pc noise..."

Work Ahead...

Hey Everyone,
Looking at the poll it seems a few people are not impressed with the new layout. I'm wondering what these folks aren't liking about it - if you have any feedback I'd like to hear it. Any feedback regarding the layout (+ or -) can be submitted here.

Also, you can still join the 3DXtreme mailing list, the signup box has been moved to the left side in a Mailing List box. Please feel free to join the growing list of folks that get notified of our new reviews first and other site news and happenings. We are still working on tweaking things with the layout and have about 900 pages worth of reviews to get switched over to the new layout. Bringing those pages into the new layout will eliminate about half of those pages since this is much more efficient from our side. Also, we are working on new reviews to post as well, so behind the scenes we are all working diligently to get things back to 100%. If you've got anything feedback, gripes, suggestions please submit them to the address above. One last thing, be sure to check out the redesigned forums.

New Layout Up And Running!

Well what do you guys think about the new 3DXtreme? For a while now we have been anticipating changing the layout of 3DXtreme to a more professional and clean look. Now we finally have. I have been hard at work these past weeks coding and designing this new layout. The site code has been transfered over to PHP, which lets Dean and I manage reviews and other content easier. As some of you may notice, many things are still down, including a majority of the reviews and the forums. The only reviews up at the moment are the Popular Reviews, which are located on the right hand side. Please bear with us, as we will slowly be fixing all the content on the site to transfer over to the new layout. In the mean time check out the reviews that are up, and have a look around to see what's different. Also vote in our new Web Poll, and tell us what you think about the new design.

Any day now we will be pulling the site for a few hours to possibly a day or two to get the new layout up. We won't have the whole site (old reviews) transferred over for a bit after that. Thanks to Minhaz for all his hard, late night work we should be live with the new look very soon! It's lots of work to transfer over 1200 pages of html, but we are looking forward to the new layout.
