New 3DXtreme Article!

Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new article on 3DX of a mod of the Evercool WC-201 Watercooling Kit.

"...by spending a little cash you can improve cooling by up to 10C over stock. It really makes sense to use outside air for watercooling, think about the vicious circle you create by cooling with case air, as the case gets hotter so the efficiency of the watercooler drops due to cooling with warmer air. And the benefit of freeing up 5 ¼” drive bays by making it external is a real plus. Comparing the cost of this unit and the mods we made we are still coming in about $80-$90 cheaper than say a Koolance Exos or Thermaltake Aquarius III and receiving the benefit of an external all in one kit."

Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DX of the Raidmax Cobra Mid-Tower Case.

"The Cobra is an excellent value that does not look like a budget case. It is a well designed and attractively styled product with very few annoyances. For about 60 dollars, the Cobra is available from Extremecase, and this includes the 420 watt power supply. Raidmax offers a true value in its Cobra cases. If you need a great looking case and would like to keep a few bucks in your pocket, the Cobra is the right case for you..."

New 3DXtreme Review!
Posted By: Dean Nottis
On: Tuesday, April 27, 2004
Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DX of the Albatron GeForce FX5700P Turbo Video Card.

"I think the numbers pretty much speak for themselves. I received this video card not really expecting stellar performance and I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw. Albatron has come through with a strong performing video card based on an older GPU. This card is targeted more at the budget minded consumer and at ~$100-$120 this card certainly is an attractive deal. With it’s counterparts still sitting in the $150-$200 price range this is a definite winner for the low end solution."

"In this business there are some accessories that folks just need. This is one of them. The Bytecc ME-740 can support up to a 300 GB IDE Hard Drive. New 3DXtreme Review!
Posted By: Dean Nottis
On: Friday, April 9, 2004
Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DX of the ATI Radeon 9800XT Video Card.

"Currently the ATI Radeon 9800XT is the video card hardcore gamers should have. Without a doubt this card is the best of the best right now. There were some spots where the 5950 may have benchmarked higher, however when it came to real game play the ATI Radeon 9800XT was always smoother and the frame rates didn’t show the drops the 5950 did."

New 3DXtreme Review!
Posted By: Dean Nottis
On: Thursday, April 1, 2004
Hey Everyone,
We've posted a new review on 3DX of the AOpen AK86-L (VIA K8T800 Chipset) Motherboard.

"Today 3DXtreme has the pleasure of reviewing AOpen’s latest offering for the AMD Athlon64 platform, the AK86-L motherboard. The AK86-L is based on VIA’s K8T800 chipset. At this time there are really only two major competitors in the chipset battle for AMD64 motherboards. VIA and Nvidia, both offering the top performers in this area and we are seeing an increase in the amount of motherboards based around their offerings. Both have their advantages and disadvantages and it seems that these level out the playing field. The winners in this battle right now are the users who find motherboards full of features. AOpen has always been known for providing motherboard solutions that cater to the user who wants as much control as possible. I’m sure we won’t be disappointed with the AK86-L."
