Thermaltake Blue Orb II (AMD64) CPU Cooler Review
Author: Dean Nottis
Date: December 2, 2005
Supplied By: Thermaltake
Price: $40 USD

Introduction
Today 3DXtreme is taking a look at the latest CPU from our friends at Thermaltake. The Orb has been a staple in the Thermaltake product line for quite awhile now; today we are looking at the Blue Orb II.

The Blue Orb II builds upon the performance and features found on the Golden Orb II (reviewed recently here). Pushing the cooler to new limits is the 12 cm Fan that runs at 17dBa while generating 77 CFM of airflow. We will be testing it on an overclocked Operton 146 against some of the best air coolers in the world including the Thermaltake Big Typhoon, Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro and the Zalman CNPS 9500.
