Thermaltake Big Water 760i Review

Introduction
In our last Thermaltake review we mentioned receiving a box of items from Thermaltake to review. Today we are looking at the next product, the Thermaltake Big Water 760i. The Big Water 760i is a drive bay computer liquid cooling system. The pump, reservoir and radiator are all held in a double 5.25” drive bay unit. This unit will help the beginner get over some of the anxiety of using water cooling in their system while allowing the user some upgradeability in the future for their GPU. It’s easy to install, quieter than most air cooling solutions and provides much better cooling than air ever will. That said, the Thermaltake Big Water 760i isn’t for the hardcore overclockers, overclockers like myself will still be using our custom built solutions but this isn’t a bad kit for the beginner.

Today we are going to be looking at the performance of the 760i on a stock Intel E6300 and comparing the results next to the air cooler. Thanks to the Intel Retail Edge a buddy of mine had the perfect system to get started with and since this is his first splash into water cooling this product fit the project perfectly. The only problem was that the Intel motherboard he had has no ability to overclock so we won’t be able to look at any overclocking results at this time.

The Thermaltake Big Water 760i arrived in a large box with a handle on the top.

The Big Water was packaged as to avoid any damage. Our Big Water 760i showed up in perfect condition.
