Introduction
Today 3DXtreme is taking a look at the latest Power Supply released from our friends at OCZ. Bringing to the table the legendary performance and reliability of PC Power and Cooling OCZ has a line of Power Supplies capable of providing the highest performance on the market. The Silencer 610 watt PSU brings a high quality PC Power and Cooling Power Supply to the masses. Featuring a single 49amp 12v rail and 610 continuous watts at 40 c the Silencer means business.
PC Power and Cooling’s Power Supplies are held in the highest regard. Most Power Supplies are rated for lower case temperatures. The PC Power and Cooling Power Supplies are rated for 40 or even 50 deg C. Meaning this Power Supply can put out 610 continuous watts at 40 degrees C. A lot of Power Supplies will be rated for x amount of watts at about 20 degrees C and about 80% of their actual rating at 40 degrees C. A PC Power and Cooling 610 watt Power Supply would be the equivalent of about a 700 watt from most other manufacturers.
