Introduction
Today 3DXtreme is taking a look at a new product provided to us by our friends over at Xoxide. This new product is an AMD64 (socket 754) cooler being produced by Foxconn called the Heat Guzzler. The Foxconn Heat Guzzler utilizes a heat pipe design known to provide great cooling at a reduced noise volume.

Here is a shot of the package this cooler arrived in.

A Closer Look
The Foxconn Heat Guzzler looked similar to the other heat pipe coolers we've reviewed in the past. Using a copper cooler and 70x15mm fan the Foxconn cooler generates approximately 32 dBA of noise at 30.1CFM.

Here is a look at the many aluminum fins the Foxconn cooler uses.

Even though the finish of the base was very reflective there were noticeable imperfections on it. When we installed our themal compound it was clear that the base wasn't perfectly flat despite the mirror finish. As always the use of decent thermal compound is always suggested.

The Foxconn Heat Guzzler features 35 Aluminum fins for quick heat dissipation. The foxconn Heat Guzzler features a single lug clip that actually screws through the socket plate. We had to remove the screws holding the back plate onto our AMD64 motherboard, install the cooler, then replace the screws being careful not to damage the CPU. Overall we weren't thrilled about the installation process, however once it was installed there were no worries of the cooler coming loose.

Here is a look at the fan - 70x15 generating 32 dBA @ 30.1 CFM.

Here is a picture of the Foxconn Heat Guzzler installed on our MSI Neo FIS2R K8T800 motherboard. The fan has blue LEDs and illuminates once powered on. The cooler size wasn't an issue as we ran into no problems with the size and surrounding areas on our test motherboard.
