Introduction:
Today 3DXtreme is proud to present this review of the Corsair TwinX1024-XMS4000 Pro 1 GB Dual kit. This new kit from Corsair is a 1 GigaByte matched memory pair designed for Intel Pentium 4 motherboards like the Dual Memory Channel, Intel Canterwood Chipset (875P). In order to take full advantage of this product a CPU that can run at a 250 Mhz Front Side Bus is required. This memory kit will allow the user to run their memory synchronous to an overclocked CPU targeted for a 250 Mhz Front Side Bus and the advantage to this will be laid out in the following pages.

Another attractive feature on this product are the 18 activity LEDs that show the level of memory activity on each bank, this provides a visual indication of how full the memory banks are. While this feature may look cool, in a case with a window its mere eye candy, something to dazzle your guests further should they be able to comprehend the momentous overclocking success you’ve tried to justify and explain to them.

Ah hell, they just look cool!

A Closer Look:
Taking a closer look at the Corsair TwinX1024-XMS4000 Pro the first thing we noticed was the large size of the heat spreader. Accounting for this increase in the size of the heat spreader are the 18 activity LEDs on the top of each stick of ram.

As the memory activity level increases so do the LED’s on the top of the heatspreader. These looked awesome in action.

Notice the specifications of each stick printed on the label of each stick. Not only is the model of the memory easily accessible here, but Corsair has also included the timings, clock speed and size
