Aerocool Centaurus Titanium LED Fan Review
Author: Mike Pengelly
Date: November 11, 2004
Supplied By: Aerocool
Price: $12.99 USD

Introduction
Today 3DXtreme has the great pleasure of taking a look at a new fan solution from Aerocool, the Centaurus Titanium. We have seen several quality fan solutions come from Aerocool, the most recent being the Chameleon. With it’s slick design, the Centaurus looks to be a great fan for the case modder and at the same time performing a solid function in providing good air movement. Let’s see if this fan can live up to expectations…

Specifications
Here are the technical specifications for this fan:

Dimensions: 80x80x25mm
Bearing: Sleeve
Fan Speed: 2000 RPM
Air Flow: 26.8 CFM
Noise Level: 21.6 dBA

The fan also contains 4 blue LEDs.

A Closer Look
The packaging for the Centaurus is pretty straight forward, giving the buyer a complete look at the fan and what to expect. The package includes the fan, a 4 pin molex to 3 pin adapter, 4 short screws for mounting to a case, 4 long screws for mounting to a cooler, and 4 rubber pads.

Here is the fan in action, the blue LEDs really light it up.

Conclusion
Aerocool has definitely produced a nice little product here for the user who wants a cool item for their modded case. Whether you mount it on a side window for air intake or over your CPU’s cooler, it still looks good. With the titanium finish of the fan the LED’s really shine brightly. And on top of it all the fan runs nice and quiet. With it’s native 3 pin connection this fan can also be easily connected to a fan controller. This is a recommended product for the person who is modding.

Thanks go out to Aerocool for providing this fan for review today.
