Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU AMD64 Cooler Review
Author: Dean Nottis

Introduction
Today 3DXtreme is taking another Arctic Cooling product out for a spin and to kick the proverbial tires. On tap today is the Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler. Compatible with the AMD64 (socket 754/939/940) line of products this product carries the standard Arctic Cooling 6 year warranty. Unfortunately, we were never able to spend anytime with the first revision of this cooler however we have had the opportunity to play with the Thermaltake Big Typhoon and the Zalman CNPS9500 CPU coolers so the competition will be fierce. This review will not only look at the temperatures that each cooler was able to maintain but also the maximum overclocking ability using an Opteron 146 CPU. Sorry to keep the fine folks at XtremeSystems waiting so long for the results of this review, but I was really excited to have the opportunity to not only review this product but to be able to compare it with some of the best air coolers on the market. In fact, some of these coolers provide better thermal capabilities than entry level water cooling systems and at a fraction of the cost.
